VISION FARMS - CSR IN ORGANIC FARMING
We are fire & safety suppliers .
But in spite of our busy schedule, we also take care of the environment. It is time we learn to ‘give back’ and make our Earth green even as we get hands-on experience at our 14 acre Farm situated at Solva -Raia as well as Neturlem, Sanguem , Goa near Neturlem bubbling lake. Here we have turned our agricultural land into a productive resource with a lot of flora and fauna. At our Farm we also work like in TEAM VISION SAFETY. We grow common vegetables like Radish, Okra (lady fingers),local chillies, Aubergine ( brinjals), Bitter gourd , Long beans etc to name a few varieties.
We also have a huge plantation of Bananas , Mangoes, Coconuts , Cashew , Betelnut and Kokum . Our thrill is experimenting on medicinal plants like Simarouba ( Lakshmi Taru ) for treating diabetes and blood pressure problems and Soursop which are very useful to treat cancer . Many cancer centers list cancer treatment as one of the "purported uses" of SOURSOP. All this is a part of our farming activity, we develop with our in-house natural manure which is used at our farm and we proudly keep it 100% ORGANIC. It's a part of our learning activity every day and we are blessed to have a dedicated team at our Farm too.
Nature has long been known for its relaxing qualities, as a place for humans to find tranquility and nature's healing. Farming in particular is associated with mental clarity and a feeling of reward, and it has many physical benefits as well. Food farming can particularly be gratifying and an excellent source of fresh produce. From soil preparation to the joy of harvesting, there is always a task, big or small, during the growing season! If you have ever spent a summer / monsoon on a farm, you know that these tasks can serve as great exercise. With many community leaders working to promote a green revolution as well as urban agriculture opportunities such as community farming, there has never been a better time to use farming for relaxation and exercise. At Vision Farms we are going back to this age-old agricultural tradition....naturally.
